Infertility describes the inability to conceive after a year of unprotected intercourse. For both men and women the current infertility figures are rising and are alarming. Findings show that 25 percent of infertility cases now relate to men compared to 10 percent a few years ago. There are many causes, including many that are preventable, and the list is long. Where causes relate to toxins, such as chemical pollution, the wide use in British farming of pesticides and other contaminants in meat and dairy products, it is useful to remember that the burden of this carried in cells and tissue can be relieved.
Highly nutritious and supportive foods combined with tissue cleanses will be vitally helpful. Liver support herbs are especially effective for redressing the balance within cells. Some hormone tests, for both sexes, are available, although they may not be able to pinpoint the exact problem. Specialist help must be sought. The Book 'Babycare Before Birth' by Zita West gives some insights. ISBN 1-4053-1058-8.
Men can: Take male hormonal tonics and adaptogenic herbs in order to support their fertility levels. Consult a herbal practitioner.
Women should: Use female hormone balancers, liver supportives and ensure the bowel is moving adequately. Consult a herbal practitioner.
A whole body approach using natural healing methods is a positive and energising way forward. Methods used include proper diet, healthy function of the digestive system, the use of cleansing programmes, exercise and hydrotherapy.
