Jill R. Davies

Jill Davies, HNH, Ph.D., FAMH, is a qualified herbalist and naturopath of over 45 years. Alongside Peter Schmittmann, she is co-director of Herbs Hands Healing, which was established in 1978. Herbs Hands Healing was initially a commercial herb garden and small clinic, making use of a combination of her skills as a horticulturist and herbal practitioner.

Jill originally trained at R.H.S. Wisley and The Royal Botanic Gardens Kew. Then she qualified in herbal medicine in the UK and natural healing and herbal medicine in America with Dr. Richard Schulze and her doctorate through Dr. John Christopher. Her company reflects her heritage as the great-great-granddaughter of an apothecary (see Ezra Suggett) and all she learned in her clinic work and whilst teaching.

She has written 14 books, most of which are now available as a free download..

Jill periodically teaches naturopathy and herbal medicine at the introductory and vocational level at The College of Naturopathic Medicine in London. She previously ran a European school with Dr. Schulze in natural healing and herbal medicine.

She is a Fellow of the Association of Master Herbalists.

LOW BLOOD SUGAR, LOW ENERGY & HYPOGLYCEMIA
Do you feel this way sometimes? Low blood sugar is currently a very prevalent problem, especially among women, and is often at its worst when a woman is premenstrual. Sugar cravings can take the form of outright sugar bingeing with the consumption of unusual amounts of chocolate or more discreet searches for dried fruit around the kitchen. Like diabetes, hypoglycaemia is an imbalance of blood sugar levels, which often stems from imbalanced glycogen levels in the liver. Cold Weather with Olive & Chilli- This will Really Warm you up!

Chillies can be put with olive oil and liquidized and stored in the fridge for easy additions to all kinds of dishes, spread on bread etc and they make an instant warming addition.
